Progress plant operating system (DCS)

As announced in our previous newsletter, we are migrating the Distributed Control System (DCS) of the alkyd resins plant to a state-of-the art technology, replacing the obsolete system from almost four decades.

During the maintenance stop of November 2018, we made a tremendous step in this migration process. The first batch was succesfully produced using the new system. The total migration project will be completed within the next two years. The maintenance stop itself has been executed in a safe manner and without accidents.

Synres 10 years without LTI (lost time incident)

On Sunday 25 November 2018 Synres reached a new milestone:
10 years without lost time incident!
Although we are very proud to have achieved this milestone, we are well aware of the fact that we have to remain conscious of our safety behaviour every day of the week.
