With this newsletter we update you on developments within Synres.

New product classification based on lead time differentation

As per 1 January 2018, Synres will switch to a new product classification based on lead time differentiation. We believe the change will provide better service and value to our customers.

Based on this new classification the lead times for the majority of your larger volume products will be reduced.

The following 4 new product categories will be introduced:

  1. Category 1: Products that are produced with very high frequency and/or are used by many customers. These products have a production lead time of 7 days (1 week).
  2. Category 2: Products that are produced with high frequency and are used by multiple customers. These products have a production lead time of 14 days (2 weeks).
  3. Category 4: Products that are produced with low frequency and are used by few customers. These products have a production lead time of 28 days (4 weeks).
  4. Category 6: Products that are produced with very low frequency (1 or 2 times a year) and are used by very few customers. These products have a production lead time of 42 days (6 weeks).

We have informed all our customers, distributors and agents personally about this change.

Maintenance stop

As announced in our last newsletter, we had planned for a much shorter maintenance stop in November compared to previous years. Thanks to better preparation, planning round the clock activities and improved coordination of all parties involved we managed to start up almost according to plan. Despite some initial technical challenges, the plant is now running at full capacity again.

Synres Distributors & Agents Meeting

On 21 and 22 September 2017, the yearly international Synres Distributors & Agents meeting took place in Vallromanes, Spain. Distributors and agents spent two days discussing with each other. Besides a plenary program, also discussions in smaller groups took place. The interactive part of the program was very successful, because of the learning effect for everyone.
After two inspiring days, the unanimous conclusion was: besides knowledge and commercial skills, it is the passion that makes the difference.

Retirement Bart Immerzeel

As most of you know by now, our Senior Sales Manager Bart Immerzeel will retire.
Bart started his career with Synres at the age of 17. During 28 years of his impressive career, he has worked with Synres, with DSM and finally with Synres again. We are grateful for his long-standing commitment and wish him all the best.

New colleague

As of 1 December 2017, Mr Edwin Schikker will start his career with Synres as Purchasing Manager. In this function he will be responsible for all purchase activities of Synres.
Edwin has an extensive background in logistics and purchasing in the chemical industry working for companies like Hexion, CSM/Corbion and Synthomer.

New office accommodation

A nice and pleasant workplace contributes to the job satisfaction of employees. Synres embraces this statement.
That is why all the work places in the main office building have been updated, as well as the canteen and the meeting rooms. We are very proud of the result and hope to welcome you soon!

We intend to send this newsletter on a regular base. In case you have suggestions, please let us know.

With kind regards,
Pieter van As, Marketing & Sales Director
