Just before the summer break, we give you a short update on developments within Synres.

9 August 1947 – 9 August 2017

On 9 August 2017, it will be 70 years since the first batch was produced at our factory. Established in 1947, Synres has become an industry leader in quality, reliability and customer service. We are proud on what we have achieved the last seven decades, which we also owe to the confidence of our highly appreciated customers.

Synres, personalized resins since 1947!

New colleague

As you probably know, our Senior Sales Manager Bart Immerzeel will retire early 2018. Reason that we started the search for a new Senior Sales Manager.
We are very pleased to inform you that as of 15 August 2017, Gouke Geus will start as successor of Bart and will be responsible for our customers in North West and Eastern Europe. In addition he will look after a few of our specific key accounts.
Gouke has an extensive background in the chemical industry and has worked for companies as Quaker Chemicals, DSM Desotech, IMCD Benelux, Eastman
Chemicals and Baker Hughes.

Maintenance stop

Like previous years, we have planned a maintenance stop this year in November as well. By applying the LEAN philosophy and methodologies we are striving for a shorter production outage compared to previous years. Once the specific dates are known we will update you accordingly.

A new alkyd reactor

Any day now, the new alkyd reactor will be operational. Early last year we decided that additional alkyd capacity and flexibility was needed to serve our customers better. This substantial investment is a reflection of our long term commitment to the solvent based resins business and our ambition to improve service levels to our customers.

We intend to send this newsletter on a regular base. In case you have suggestions, please let us know.
We wish you a very pleasant summer break.

With kind regards,
Pieter van As, Marketing & Sales Director
